We have an exciting opportunity for a Strategy Manager to join our Strategy and Partnerships team.

The closing date for this role is 9am Monday, 9 March with interviews to take place on Thursday, 12 March.

Strategy Manager
  • Permanent
  • Salary c. £42,900

Want to be at the heart of our work to ensure we have a society where everyone enjoys later life? Centre for Ageing Better has an exciting opportunity for a Strategy Manager to join our Strategy and Partnerships team. If you share our passion for improving later life and can bring both strategic thinking and strong programme management skills, we’d like to hear from you.

The UK’s population is undergoing a massive age shift. In less than 20 years, one in four people will be over 65. The fact that many of us are living longer is a great achievement.

But unless radical action is taken by government, business and others in society, millions of us risk missing out on enjoying those extra years.

At the Centre for Ageing Better we want everyone to enjoy later life. We create change in policy and practice informed by evidence and work with partners across England to improve employment, housing, health and communities.

We are a charitable foundation, funded by The National Lottery Community Fund, and part of the government’s What Works Network.

The Strategy Manager will be responsible for leading and coordinating a programme of strategic cross cutting work to support delivery of Ageing Better’s strategy. Working with the Director of Strategy and Partnerships, other members of the executive team, colleagues from across the organisation and partners, the postholder will also help to coordinate our policy development work and horizon scanning to help future proof our work.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a good understanding of the opportunities and policy context associated with ageing, a track record of working in a strategy planning environment and the ability to spot and assess emerging issues and future trends.

To apply please send a CV, covering letter addressing how you meet the criteria of the person specification for the role and the below equality and diversity form to recruitment@ageing-better.org.uk.

The closing date for this role is 9am Monday, 9 March with interviews to take place on Thursday, 12 March.
