George is Ageing Better’s Director of Finance and Governance, supporting the organisation to ensure that its financial resources are well used, and that it is fully compliant in all aspects of governance.
George’s role is to oversee all aspects of financial performance and future planning, and to work with the organisation to ensure financial resources are optimised to drive best use of our funds.
George has worked in senior finance roles for large commercial organisations in the first part of his career and moved to the not for profit sector in 2014; he has been Director of Resources for 3 other charities: Prostate Cancer UK, Blind Veterans UK and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. He is also a Trustee for the charity Mental Health Matters.
George joined Ageing Better in October 2023.
