She has worked with policy makers across the UK and internationally to devise and implement new thinking to drive positive social and economic change.
Cathy has significant experience as a non-executive director and charity trustee, both in the UK and internationally. She has served on the group board of Places for People, a major housing developer and place-builder, and chaired their subsidiary in Scotland for the past six years.
As executive director of Lancaster University’s Work Foundation she championed efforts to change thinking and actions for those that experienced exclusion from the workplace due to ill health and chronic conditions frequently associated with later life.
As Chief Executive of Manchester: Knowledge Capital she built a globally recognised partnership for innovation across the city. She has also led an international NGO which addressed the health needs of the global poor.
Cathy is a Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society and the Royal Society for Arts in the UK.
